Holiday information for disabled travellers
Getting away from the daily run and your own four walls is something we all need, and just because you have a disability doesn’t mean that you need it less or that you should be stuck at home. There are ways for you to go on holiday, whether you are in a wheelchair or have a visual impairment.
Here we outline your options and include contact details so that you can explore them further.
For holiday makers with a disability there are a number of options:
- Holiday in the UK with your own carer/family or
independently. - Holiday in the UK with
provided care. - Holiday abroad.
- Activity and adventure holidays.

How to pay
If you receive any form of benefit, Social Services are obligated to take your need for a holiday into consideration when they assess you. If this has not been done, contact them and ask for a new assessment.
A lot of the organisations that we mention also provide grants to help you meet the cost, so ask when you call them for information.
Further information
We do our best to keep the information up to date, but if you find errors or if you have been on a great holiday with an organisation that isn’t mentioned, or you have any other information that you think should go here, please let us know.
