Understanding their effects is a crucial part of an aromatherapist’s training. Oils are blended with a carrier oil to create a mixture, which can be used directly on the body. The blend will depend on an individual’s needs and condition. Oils have different effects on the body, mind and spirit. Some are sedative or stimulating, some have an analgesic and antispasmodic effect, most are anti-bacterial.
